We missed her so much

When Mike and I returned from our 9-day trip to Singapore and Indonesia, my mom and some aunts asked us how Lia reacted when she saw us again. They seemed to expect that she would be quiet and not know us anymore. But on the contrary, when the front door opened and she saw us come in the house, straight from the airport, she looked at me and gave me a big smile. I was so happy to be home! It was hard to leave her, and I missed her so much! She went straight to my arms and wouldn't let anyone else take her. She kept saying "Daddy daddy daddy daddy..." And she leaned over and kissed her Daddy and then kissed me. She was very happy to see us, and we were ecstatic to see her.

Was my baby so smart that she didn't forget us or make tampo that we left her for 9 days? Actually, Mike and I wanted to make sure she didn't forget us so we made a video of ourselves before leaving. A one and a half minute thing saying Lia, we miss you! We love you! We'll come home soon! Don't forget us. Daddy and Mommy. We left instructions with Yaya Jenny and Lola Cora to show her the video every night before she went to bed. They went the extra mile and showed it to her every morning too. And when we called from wherever we were and asked how she would react to the video, they would say she really does say Daddy and Mommy when watching the video and she gets really excited and happy. So even if it seemed a little silly while doing it, I'm really glad we did it because Lia responded well, and didn't forget us or punish us when we got home.
