And then we spent the day in Katipunan with Lola Vinchu and they played all afternoon because she was such a good baby. Lola Vinchu didn't want to let go of her already even if it was time to go.
We also took her to her first Mass. Her yaya hadn't heard mass yet so I figured, it's not too much trouble to bring a good, quiet baby to mass and so we did, and she slept through the whole thing! To celebrate Lia's first mass, I bought a palaspas, even if we were too late for the blessing.
And then that evening, we went again to St. Ignatius where Lia is always the star of the show. When Lola Vinchu gave Lia to Nana (Great Grand Nana?) she smiled at Nana! She smiled at Nanu too. It excited them so much. My baby is so good, she knows who are the most important people to smile at.
She also met my second cousins from the States. One of them is Amalia, pronounced A-ma-LI-a cause that's how they say it in the US. And Amalia gave Lia a small silver locket. She was the only one with pasalubong. So sweet. That's them on the photo, Lia and Lia.On Monday the following night, she slept nine hours straight for the first time! She's been sleeping longer and longer lately, 6-7 hours. But on Monday night, she was particularly good to her Daddy, letting him sleep so long. Mommy had to get up in the middle of the night though. Breasts were bursting with milk so I had to pump some out.
And then yesterday, we went to the doctor. She was really good while waiting in the clinic, smiling a lot at her Yaya and me. Only we didn't have a camera so sayang. Actually, she stops smiling whenever she sees a camera, so it's really hard to capture. And then during the check up, we learned she's now 5 kg! That's 11 lbs! Almost double from when she was born, and not even two months yet. I'm so proud cause that's all from my breastmilk.
And then she got two shots. But she was really brave and cried only a little for each injection. And then stopped. And then realized she had just been poked, and cried again! When I picked her up and held her she completely stopped and when we rode the car, she fell asleep.
We rested at home for a while and then it was time to go out na again. We had dinner with my entire family in Eastwood. It was traffic on the way and she was so fussy and complaining, I had to entertain her by reading all the road signs, talking all the way. But when we got to Eastwood, and put her in her stroller, she seemed interested at everthing and stopped fussing. And then of course when we entered the restaurant, she was crowded by all her lolos and lolas and titos and titas and she seemed to like that too, enough to let her mommy and daddy eat dinner and she hardly cried, even if it was past her bedtime already.
Today we'll be staying home again, but we'll be preparing for our first out of town trip tomorrow. We're bringing Lia to Pagsanjan with my family and my American cousins. And we'll hav news of that when we get back.
